Venom Glycoproteomics Service
Venom glycoproteomics integrates mass spectrometry, glycomics, and bioinformatics methods to systematically identify and quantify glycosylation modifications in venom proteins, providing data support for revealing the molecular functions, evolutionary mechanisms, and potential pharmacological effects of venom. It is not only a key component of venomics but also an essential foundation for antivenom drug development, biopharmaceutical optimization, and structural biology research.
With extensive proteomics research experience and advanced high-resolution mass spectrometry platforms, MtoZ Biolabs has established a comprehensive Venom Glycoproteomics Service that enables in-depth characterization of glycan modifications in venom glycoproteins. Through integrated qualitative, quantitative, and structural analyses, we help research institutions and enterprises explore the biological significance and application potential of venom molecular modifications.

Analysis Workflow
1. Sample preparation and pretreatment
Venom proteins are extracted, quantified, and enzymatically digested, followed by desalting or concentration to remove impurities.
2. Glycan release and enrichment
Depending on the sample type, enzymatic or chemical methods are used for glycan release, while HILIC, lectin, or PGC materials are employed to enrich glycans or glycopeptides.
3. High-resolution mass spectrometry detection
Analysis is performed on Orbitrap Fusion Lumos and Q Exactive HF-X systems with multiple fragmentation strategies such as HCD, EThcD, and CID.
4. Data identification and annotation
Specialized software such as Byonic, pGlyco, and GlycoWorkbench is used for glycan structure identification, modification site annotation, and database comparison.
5. Results and reporting
Structural annotation tables, abundance statistics, glycan distribution charts, and structural maps are provided along with data interpretation and further research recommendations.
